I created Freddies Charcuterie and Cocktails in 2021. I started off by creating basic charcuterie boards for my family every Christmas. In addition, throughout lockdown during the summer periods I would watch videos and read books and recipes all about cocktails which led to trying to make my own for my family and neighbours, who especially liked them. Every summer and Christmas thereafter I would make boards and cocktails for family gatherings but nothing larger. However, after this my neighbours were so intrigued by my interest in the cocktails and cheese boards that they asked me to do some for their birthday party a year or so later. So in 2023 I did my first big cocktail party with the addition of a large charcuterie board. After the party the friends and family posted pictures to their social medias and spoke about it to their friends and from there everyone was interested in having one at their party. Therefore, I decided to do a phew for family and friends and post them on Instagram. Once id left sixth form college, I had no idea what I wanted to do, so I thought I would keep the charcuterie business in full flow and registered my business fully. In 2024 I received a five-star food hygiene rating and completed my level 3 food safety qualification. After this the bookings came flowing in from more friends and family. 2024 was a huge year of change and beginning for the business as it really kick started.
